eSTELbarcodes
This product provides the facility for printing barcoded tags. These include receiving, finished goods, work-in-process, return-to-stock, and AIAG tags. A mult tag scanning function allows you to create a build-up tag by scanning a series of mult tags. In addition to the tags, labels can also be produced on printer models certified by Invera.

The eSTELbarcodes product includes an interface for direct entry of weights from Invera certified electronic weighing scales.

eSTELbarcodes also enables barcode representations of order and item numbers to be printed on the work order document. Shop floor employees are able to scan order and item numbers from the work order during inventory applications and shop inventory processing functions, thereby decreasing the data entry error rate.

For those operations desiring an additional level of automation for location management and physical inventory counts, eSTELbarcodes includes the necessary software for integration with radio frequency devices. eSTELbarcodes operates with Norand equipment for transmitting and receiving radio frequency information.

eSTELbarcodes eliminates the need to handwrite tags and provides real-time availability of inventory receipts and production.

eSTELspec
The eSTELspec system has the ability to create, store, and maintain a complete set of production, processing, packaging, and shipping specifications for each part produced for a customer or a stock item. The file can be accessed by customer and part number or by customer and a valid set of eSTELPLAN product codes.

The following information is available on the part specification:

  • Part Description

  • Standard Consumption

  • Customer Spec Code and Release

  • End Use

  • Information for:

  • Production

  • Invoicing

  • Order

  • Special Charges

During the entry of a sales quotation or order, the customer part number can be entered and eSTELspec automatically accesses the part specification and defaults all relevant information for the customer, production, and shipping.

The Part Reservation Default feature allows users to specify the Inventory Reservations that must be created each time a specific part is entered on a Sales Order or Quote Item. These same reservations automatically default each time the specified part is entered.
eSTELspec is able to denote the activities for each process involved in producing the part. These can be used to denote setup, run, arbor/roll change, and bundling, or variations of these activities.

eSTELspec improves the productivity of sales staff by eliminating the re-entry of instructions for each order. In addition, it improves customer service by ensuring that instructions are complete and accurate. This eliminates the need to rely on the memory of production and shipping staff for standard or specific instructions, thereby reducing the number of customer rejects.

eSTELpro
eSTELpro is a comprehensive production system for the computerization of flat rolled production. With eSTELpro, a production job which references one or more sales orders is created with specific layouts for slitting, cut-to-length, shearing, and flow-through processing, such as pickling. For slitting, the complete arbor layout can be specified.

eSTELpro is fully integrated with the eSTELPLAN sales order system, and all instructions, tolerances, and specifications from the sales order are transferred to the eSTELpro production work order. eSTELpro computes anticipated production based on the production job layout, production commands, and the material applied to the job. Expected production, based on theoretical yields, updates the Sales Order Status Inquiry with the anticipated production quantities for better customer service information.

All production jobs created with eSTELpro can be scheduled on a Processing Work Center. Sales and production staff can access these schedules on-line. The computer schedule can be maintained on-line by the production staff, and jobs can be moved to different days, shifts, or Processing Work Centers.

The eSTELpro production recording function is fully integrated with eSTELbarcodes for the printing of barcoded tags. The recording of actual production can be recorded from in-line or end-of-line scales, or it can be based on theoretical weights. Tags and mult labels can be printed at the time of production recording.

All information required for the recording of actual production, including the parent tag(s) and sales order numbers, is displayed and defaulted based on the planned production tag. This eliminates all handwriting of tags while recording production for each job in a real-time manner. This real-time production can be viewed by the sales and production staff as the production is recorded.

eSTELpro computerizes the creation and maintenance of production orders with the integration of scheduling, sales order status, and production recording functions. eSTELpro increases customer service while improving the productivity of sales, production, and shipping staff by eliminating the need to track the status of an order. In addition, the integration of production recording with eSTELpro automates the costing of a job and eliminates the need for re-posting information already captured by production staff.

Flat rolled processors can operate eSTELPLAN without the real-time operations of eSTELpro. eSTELPLAN accommodates post-production entry of processing through the standard inventory processing system and the use of manually written production work orders.

eSTELman
For general line and flat rolled metal processors that require a comprehensive work order system for production operations, the eSTELman system provides a multi-step, multi-process work order. eSTELman accommodates all types of inventory and processes for both tagged and non-tagged material, i.e. flame cutting, sawing, cut-to-length, rolling, cold drawing, slitting, annealing, and galvanizing.

The system is fully integrated with the eSTELPLAN sales order system. The eSTELman process order can be easily generated from the sales order with minimal or even no additional data entry.

When the Sales Order Status Inquiry is accessed, eSTELman provides information regarding the scheduling and anticipated production of each eSTELman work order.

eSTELbarcodes is fully integrated with eSTELman and is vital for those operations which require the generation of barcoded tags. eSTELman can also accommodate made-for-stock orders where stock material is generated in-house, such as coil to sheet.

All eSTELman production jobs can be scheduled on a real-time basis for production planning and capacity usage. eSTELman provides for the recording of downtime for each Processing Work Center. The system generates downtime analysis and work center efficiency inquiries and reports.

eSTELman enables you to create Flow Through Steps for eSTELman Delayed Production jobs. These Flow Through Steps are used in Delayed Production mode to add Processing Costs to existing inventory tags.

eSTELman increases customer service while improving the productivity of sales, production and shipping staff by eliminating the need to track the status of an order. In addition, the integration of production recording with eSTELman automates the costing of a job and eliminates the need for re-posting information already captured by production staff.

eSTELPLAN can be operated without eSTELman, as the standard sales order processing system produces a work order for the processing of the Sales Order Item. In addition, the standard eSTELPLAN scheduling system provides for the production scheduling of Sales Order Items.

eSTELtoll
The eSTELtoll product is designed to accommodate metal operations that process and store primarily flat rolled, customer-owned material on a large-scale basis. This module assists in the tracking of this material and provides special inquiry, reporting and invoicing mechanisms for processing the material and applying credits for scrap material.
Inventory information is set up for the specific needs of the toll processing business, using the common eSTELPLAN coding methodology. Both eSTELPLAN and toll functions can operate and co-exist on the same system without conflict.

eSTELtoll can accommodate different types of conditions:

  • Mill tolling where material is owned by a mill and the processed material is shipped to a third party, usually the mill's customer or another processor such as a stamper.
  • End user tolling where the material is owned by an end user or another service center. In most cases, the processed material is returned to the owner.
  • Material is owned by a mill (or end user) and is kept for storage purposes only. The material is re-shipped as per instructions to the mill's own customers or other processors.

eSTELops
eSTELops is a set of programs, databases and utilities designed to meet the ANSI EDI (OPS) Release 5 standards set for mill toll processing. The standards were developed to provide an effective method of EDI communications between mills and their outside processors and includes transactions for inbound/ outbound ASN's, material hold/reapplications, production and other transactions, such as text messages and inventory handoffs.

eSTELops is fully integrated with the eSTELtoll system for seamless operation. When a customer (mill) is identified as an OPS customer, the system automatically prompts users for the required information or default information from EDI transmissions. Because eSTELops is fully integrated, except for modems, there are no requirements for external PC's or other communication devices.
