The eSTELprice system allows for the facility to maintain
a comprehensive product pricing database for all metal products in a wide
variety of units of measure. The database provides for setting up base
prices for all products and allows flexible methods of arriving at the
final price from the base price. There is the flexibility for the following:

Branch & Regional Material Pricing
Prices can be by branch or pricing region, Group, Size, Grade, and dimension, as well as any valid combination of these items. |

Customer Specific Pricing
Prices can be specified for customers and products or product items and valid combinations of Group, Size, Grade, and dimension. The product price can also be created by customer part number. The base price can be determined by the product average cost or by the purchasing replacement cost. The system also provides for differentiating price levels for various customers by the use of 10 different customer categories. eSTELprice additionally provides for the setup of 10 quantity brackets. These brackets can vary by product and can be used to mark up or discount from the base price. The factor applied to the quantity brackets can be a straight percentage, gross profit percentage, or dollar amount. eSTELprice provides management with an effective mechanism for the development and maintenance of a computerized price book to replace manual price books. eSTELprice is fully integrated with eSTELquote for dynamic pricing during quotation entry. The end result is more consistent pricing and higher profit margins. |

Designed to maximize the productivity of inside sales
staff, eSTELquote provides for the entry of customer inquiries, with the
ability to store the inquiry as a quotation or directly turn the inquiry
into an order. Once the quotation has been stored, the quotation management
system tracks open quotations by salesperson, customer, and product, with
the facility to easily convert the quotation into a sales order.
A customer profile is provided with eSTELquote that allows selected customer defaults, target margins, and marketing remarks to be stored. eSTELquote can be operated with or without eSTELprice. With eSTELprice, the quotation entry automatically computes the price of the sales item based on the customer, product, and quantity combination. Without eSTELprice, the price is manually entered by the inside salesperson. eSTELquote provides functions to assist sales staff in adjusting the price for commodity discounts or meeting minimum profit targets. The profit of the entire quotation and each quote item is computed and displayed on all screens. There is also the facility to maintain prices for processing by applying rates for each Processing Work Center. An outbound freight rate table can be created based on the shipping warehouse and the postal code of the customer. Provisions are made for rates based on common carriers or an owned truck fleet. eSTELquote's Burning Processing feature automatically calculates a plate burning charge when entering a Quote Item. eSTELquote's Cutting (Sawing) Price Matrix feature automatically calculates a sawing processing charge when entering a Quote Item. Market Management is a marketing tool within eSTELquote enabling sales
personnel to record and display comments and notes following conversations
or sales transactions with customers. |
