For those customers that subscribe
to Invera’s Database Administration Support Services, the following
additional services are provided:
- Database installation, implementation and consulting activities
- Data conversions mandated by Invera product upgrades
- Creation of special views for end-user reporting
- Implementation activity for end-user tools such as connections
to Microsoft Office and third-party reporting products
- Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database for
queries that are not generated from Invera application products
- Maintaining special security profiles for users (Invera application
products do not use database security mechanisms. Instead, a security
mechanism at the program level limits data access.)
- Setting up of special users to access the database and maintaining
system security
As with other Invera Database Support Services, these
services are designed to eliminate or reduce the need for an on-site
database administrator. Where a company requires a database administrator,
these additional services can be used as required to complement existing
knowledge.
